Your dedicated engineer, month by month.
Your dedicated senior engineer, month by month.
One invoice per month. No tracking hours, no surprise overages, no billing disputes.
Written Friday updates and Loom walkthroughs. You always know what shipped and what is next.
Slack or Linear for daily async. Video calls on-demand. No calendar chaos.
After your MVP launches, someone has to keep building. The SaaS Engineering Partnership gives you 40 hours of dedicated engineering per month - feature sprints, performance improvements, third-party integrations, scaling fixes, and async support. No hiring overhead, no equity, no six-month notice period. You get a senior engineer who already knows your codebase, can context-switch fast, and won't disappear when a sprint gets hard.
Predictable cadence. Every month.
Kick-off & Codebase Review
MONTH 1First two weeks: I read every file, understand the architecture, set up local dev, and get a feel for the backlog. We agree on communication channels (Slack, Linear, Notion) and the monthly rhythm.
Sprint Planning
MONTH STARTStart of each month: we review the backlog together, estimate and prioritise work, and agree on the sprint goal. I push back on scope that does not fit 40 hours honestly.
Weekly Progress Updates
EVERY FRIDAYEvery Friday: a written summary of what shipped, what is blocked, and what is next. Plus a Loom walkthrough if there is something worth seeing. No status-meeting overhead.
Sprint Review & Retrospective
MONTH ENDEnd of each month: live demo of everything shipped, honest retrospective on what slowed us down, and planning input for the next sprint. 45 minutes, recorded.
Async Support
ONGOINGSlack or Linear available throughout the month for questions, quick reviews, architecture decisions, and unblocking your team. Not counted as development hours.
Right for you if any of these fit.
- →Your MVP is live and you have paying users - now you need to keep shipping.
- →You need a senior engineer but aren't ready to hire full-time (salary, equity, benefits).
- →Your current contractor disappears between projects; you need consistent availability.
- →You want someone who understands the whole codebase, not just one feature at a time.
- →You need honest estimates, not junior devs padding hours.
What I don't do.
- ✗40 hours per month is the included development time - unused hours do not roll over.
- ✗On-call incident response and production firefighting are not part of this engagement.
- ✗I do not manage other contractors or act as a technical project manager.
- ✗Design (Figma, branding, UX research) is not included - bring your own designer.
Not the right fit?
- ✗Pre-launch products - start with the MVP Build, then move to retainer post-launch.
- ✗Teams that need a full-time embedded presence (40+ hrs/week) - hire a full-timer.
- ✗24/7 on-call incident response - this is development time, not operations time.
- ✗Projects needing three developers in parallel - I work solo or with your team.
