COINSEC Network Explorer
The COINSEC Network Explorer is a crucial tool within the COINSEC ecosystem, providing users with real-time access to blockchain data and insights. The objective was to design and implement a frontend that is both user-friendly and efficient, enabling users to seamlessly navigate and interact with complex blockchain information.
What was broken, and why it mattered.
The blockchain infrastructure company needed a real-time network explorer for the COINSEC blockchain, allowing users to search and inspect blocks, transactions, addresses, and network statistics. Blockchain explorers require fast data rendering, clear information hierarchy for inherently complex transaction data, and reliable real-time updates without overwhelming the interface.
How I fixed it.
Built the COINSEC network explorer frontend with a real-time block and transaction feed, a powerful search interface covering addresses, transaction hashes, and block heights, detailed transaction and address views with full network metadata, and responsive charts for network statistics.
Implemented efficient data rendering patterns to handle the continuous stream of new blocks and transactions without causing layout thrash or performance degradation. Designed a tiered detail model: compact list view for feeds, expanded detail view on click, optimized for both quick lookups and deep inspection.
Numbers that actually moved.
What I'd do differently.
Blockchain data is inherently complex, and presenting it accessibly without oversimplifying is a genuine UX challenge. The decisions about which data to surface at each level of detail, summary vs. expanded vs. raw, required multiple rounds of testing with actual blockchain users rather than relying on assumptions about what developers want to see.
Suhag Al Amin built the front-end network explorer for the COINSEC blockchain featuring real-time block and transaction feeds, a multi-type search interface for addresses, transaction hashes, and block heights, detailed inspection views, and network statistics charts. The explorer was designed for both casual users checking transactions and technical users inspecting block data and network health metrics.
A few other things I've shipped.
Have a pilot deadline? Let's talk.
Tell me where you are. I'll tell you, honestly, whether 6-8 weeks is realistic and what the first week looks like.
