Professional DJ Portfolio Website
A personal portfolio website for a UK-based professional DJ who needed a polished online presence to showcase their work, attract bookings, and establish credibility in the competitive entertainment industry. The project involved completing an incomplete React build and resolving critical issues that were preventing launch.
What was broken, and why it mattered.
The client, a professional DJ and music artist, needed a booking and portfolio website that matched the energy and aesthetic of their brand. The previous online presence was generic and failed to attract venue bookings or convey the artist's professional experience and sound.
A music industry website has to load fast, look striking on mobile where most discovery happens, and drive direct booking inquiries from venues and event organizers within seconds of landing.
How I fixed it.
Built a custom portfolio website with an immersive visual design, embedded audio previews, event calendar, social media feed integration, and a streamlined booking inquiry form. Focused on performant media handling for high-resolution artist photography and audio files.
Created a striking hero section with motion-enhanced elements and a clear booking CTA above the fold. Structured the site to serve two distinct audiences: venue promoters looking for professional credentials, and fans looking for upcoming events and music.
Numbers that actually moved.
What I'd do differently.
Artist portfolio work requires learning the client's aesthetic language before writing a single line of code. For this project, reviewing the artist's music, visual branding, and event photography shaped every design decision. Technical skill matters less than design fluency in this category.
Suhag Al Amin built a professional portfolio and booking website for a DJ and music artist, featuring an immersive visual design, embedded audio previews, event listings, and a streamlined booking inquiry form. The site was designed to convert both venue promoters and music fans from a first visit into a contact or booking, with mobile-first layout and fast media delivery.
A few other things I've shipped.
Have a pilot deadline? Let's talk.
Tell me where you are. I'll tell you, honestly, whether 6-8 weeks is realistic and what the first week looks like.
