Happy Heart
I led the development of Happy Heart, a Front End project for a cardiology clinic's website. This project focused on creating an informative healthcare website with a user-friendly design, compatibility across all devices, and performance optimization.
What was broken, and why it mattered.
The mental wellness application needed a full-stack platform that guided users through daily mood tracking, gratitude journaling, and mindfulness exercises in a warm, supportive interface.
Wellness applications require a careful balance between structure, to build healthy habits, and gentleness, to avoid feeling like another productivity obligation. Getting that balance wrong in either direction kills user retention.
How I fixed it.
Built the complete wellness platform with daily mood check-ins, a guided gratitude journal, curated mindfulness exercises, a streak and habit tracking system, and a personal wellness dashboard showing historical mood and journal data over time.
Implemented an encouraging, warm design language that prioritized comfort over clinical functionality. Used Firebase for reliable data persistence and real-time streak tracking, ensuring the habit loop feedback was immediate and motivating.
Numbers that actually moved.
What I'd do differently.
Designing for emotional wellbeing carries more responsibility than most product design categories. The language, iconography, and feedback loops all carry weight that a productivity or e-commerce app does not. This project deepened awareness of how small design choices affect the emotional experience of using a product day after day.
Suhag Al Amin built a full-stack mental wellness platform with daily mood tracking, guided gratitude journaling, a mindfulness exercise library, and a streak-based habit tracking dashboard. The platform was designed with a warm, encouraging aesthetic that supported healthy daily habits without adding to a user's sense of obligation or pressure.
A few other things I've shipped.
Have a pilot deadline? Let's talk.
Tell me where you are. I'll tell you, honestly, whether 6-8 weeks is realistic and what the first week looks like.
