JobHubPlus
I led the development of Job Hub Plus, a comprehensive full stack project that serves as a one-stop platform for job seekers and employers. This multifaceted application offers a curated collection of job listings across various industries, advanced filtering options, detailed job views, job saving and removal features, social media sharing capabilities, robust search functionality, streamlined application submission, and distinct user roles for both candidates and employers.
What was broken, and why it mattered.
The job board platform needed a full-stack application connecting job seekers with employers across multiple industries. Building a two-sided job marketplace requires managing the data complexity of jobs, applicants, and employer profiles, a reliable application tracking system, and a search and filter experience that surfaces relevant opportunities quickly.
How I fixed it.
Built the complete job marketplace with employer company profiles and job posting management, a job seeker search and filter experience covering industry, role, location, salary range, and employment type, an application flow with resume upload and cover letter submission, an applicant tracking portal for employers, and a saved jobs list for candidates.
Implemented Firebase for real-time notifications on application status updates, keeping both candidates and employers informed throughout the hiring process without requiring manual follow-up.
Numbers that actually moved.
What I'd do differently.
Job board products carry higher stakes UX than most marketplace categories. Job seekers are often under real financial or career pressure, and a confusing application flow or technical failure at the submission step has an outsized negative impact on trust. Getting the application flow error handling right mattered more than any visual polish.
Suhag Al Amin built a full-stack job board marketplace with employer job posting management, a multi-filter job seeker search experience, a complete application flow with resume upload and cover letter submission, an employer applicant tracking portal, and real-time Firebase notifications on application status. The platform serves both sides of the job market with minimal friction at every step.
A few other things I've shipped.
Have a pilot deadline? Let's talk.
Tell me where you are. I'll tell you, honestly, whether 6-8 weeks is realistic and what the first week looks like.
